Are you getting a bunch of unwanted pop ups or a fake antivirus? Sometimes these can be resolved on your own with a simple scan so you can try this before you spend money to clean up an infection.

  • The log is automatically saved and can be viewed by clicking the Logs tab in MBAM.

Exit MBAM.

Notes: You may be asked to reboot your computer so it can proceed with the process. Failure to reboot normally (not into safe mode) will prevent you from removing all infections.

MBAM may need to make changes to your registry as part of its disinfection. If you’re using other security programs that detect registry changes (like Spybot S&D), they may interfere with alerts when attempting to make fixes. Please disable these types of programs until disinfection is complete or permit them to allow the changes.
